Biography
Rouvaishyana retired from California State Parks after 32 years as an Interpreter (naturalist) in Mendocino District and Manager of the Morro Bay Museum of Natural History. He continues to work as a boat captain and bilingual (English-Spanish) naturalist in a local whale and wildlife watching business, where he has ample opportunity to observe shorebirds, seabirds, and raptors. He is part of a 4-person team to found a local chapter of Latino Outdoors, is active in the classical music world, and studies Portuguese, Japanese, and Hindi in addition to speaking Spanish.
