Eva Moylan

Eva is from the Central Coast of California and is a lifelong birder with a passion for conservation. She is currently a Master’s student in the Francis Lab at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where she studies how artificial noise and light pollution impact bird populations. Her research focuses on how these human-caused disturbances affect bird behavior, as well as the connection between eye structure and birds’ responses to artificial light at night. Eva also enjoys combining science and art through nature journaling and is always up for a good conversation about birds, ecology, and conservation.
