Ed Harper
Ed Harper was born in Montana where he developed his first interest in birds at the age of six. That passion has grown over the years to where he is now one of the leading birders in the country. Now retired, Ed taught both mathematics and field ornithology over a period of 34 years at American River College. He is a past president of the Sacramento Audubon Society, past board member of the Western Field Ornithologists, and currently serves on the Montana Bird Records Committee. As an accomplished photographer, he has photographed over 800 species of North American Birds and countless other species on seven continents.
