                                                                                    Pete is retired director of New Jersey Audubon’s Cape May Bird Observatory and founder of the World Series of Birding. A prolific writer with over twenty books on birds, birding and natural history to his credit. He and wife, Linda, apportion their time between Paso Robles, CA, Mauricetown, NJ, and Deer Isle, Maine. Best known for pushing the frontiers of raptor identification, his latest book, THE COURAGE OF BIRDS, celebrates the remarkable survival strategies birds use to survive winter.
