Ruth Zachary
Ruth grew up in Ohio and has been interested in birds since a child, collecting feathers and painting bird models. Her mother was the birder in our family and gave her passion to all of her children. She met Roger in 2001, at the Morro Bay Bird Festival, on a daylong trip to the Carrizo Plain. He later proposed to her in front of participants on his field trip. They continue to bird together, here in the county and United States as well as throughout the world. Her life has been enhanced by birds!
