Join Van Pierszalowski for a relaxed half-mile walk along the bluffs to a secluded beach just south of Arroyo De La Cruz. Once at the beach, we'll stroll another quarter mile to the creek mouth, where we'll study La Cruz Rock through Van's scope and survey the area for gulls, ducks, and shorebirds, while remaining on the lookout for any nearshore surprises. Meets at the south end of the Elephant Seal Rookery Parking Lot on Hwy 1, 7 miles north of San Simeon.
