Trip Leader: Dale Ball

Born in Monterey, CA, and growing up on both coasts of the US, Colorado, and Hawaii, she recently settled back on the Central Coast with her husband. She developed a deep appreciation and awe of nature all around us and is channeling that into creating new habitat for nature in their own backyard. Birding creeped in along the way and never left. Passion about sharing the wonder and beauty of our world led her to join the Education Committee of Morro Coast Audubon, which brings their Birds In Your Neighborhood program to school children in the area, creating the next generation of birders. Over the years she has created custom handmade tiles, wall murals, and paintings for people's homes. Nowadays she enjoys photographing and nature journaling about the birds and bugs who show up to see what's new in her garden and volunteering at the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden.
