Peggy Burhenn Peggy Burhenn is a certified California Naturalist and a Master Gardener. As an avid citizen scientist she has counted snowy plovers and least terns, banded birds, monitored Black Oystercatcher, bluebird and owl nests, and participates in the Christmas bird counts. She regularly posts her finds on iNaturalist and eBird. She is a docent for the California State Parks, focusing her time at the Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove and with Pismo Clam outreach. She also leads native plant walks and volunteers at the Cal Poly Herbarium. She is a member of the California Native Plant Society and the Morro Coast Audubon Society.
