Steve Tillmann

Steve is a lifelong birder whose love of the outdoors began with a childhood fascination with birds. Growing up in the inner city, birds were his window into the wild as he explored parks, vacant lots, rail yards, and any open space he could reach by bike. That early interest grew into a lifelong passion, inspiring both his career as a forester and endless birding adventures together with his wife. Steve has birded and explored California's Central Coast for 25 years. He enjoys sharing the beauty of our region and encouraging all with a desire for fun, adventure and wonder to go outside and get birding!
