Terri May Terri May volunteered at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo for 9 years. During that time, she headed up the Raptor program for the Education Department, which included training some of the birds and docents to handle the birds for the program. It was that experience that led her to realize she wanted to learn more about all birds. During Covid-19 isolation, she did more birding and focused on "the small birds" to try and expand her knowledge. She also helped with the 2021 Seabird Survey at Estero State Park, which was conducted over a 4-month period. For her, expanding her birding knowledge has been an enlightening and humbling experience. There is so much to learn and helping at the Morro Bay Bird Festival is a perfect way to do that!
