Gargi Chugh Gargi Chugh, a Data Scientist by profession, began nature journaling as a hobby in 2018. What started as casual sketches in nature with a wonderful community soon led her to notice the interconnectedness of the environment. Understanding these connections sparked a deep sense of care and a desire to protect the natural world, making nature journaling a meaningful stewardship activity for her.
Gargi developed a nature journaling program at Presidio Field Station, where she leads monthly sessions, and she also organizes field trips during SF Climate Week. With a keen interest in ecology, she explores various journaling techniques to understand the balance within ecosystems. Through her work, Gargi aims to help others discover the beauty and complexity of nature, fostering environmental curiosity and stewardship.
