Clara Thomas Clara was born and raised in Los Angeles, and grew up exploring the mountains and deserts of Southern California. While always a nature and outdoor enthusiast, she discovered the joy of birding as an undergraduate at Cornell University, where she majored in Environment and Sustainability. Her love for birds developed further after spending time working on ornithological research projects in both Argentina and Australia. Clara is particularly excited by the field of bioacoustics and surveying sound-producing animals at large scales to inform wildlife conservation. Beyond birding, Clara enjoys cooking, rock climbing, trail running, mushroom foraging, and dancing with friends in her free time.
