238 Elfin Forest Explorations: Nature Journaling in Coastal Chaparral

Dive into the fascinating brackish water zones where freshwater meets saltwater, creating a rich and diverse environment. You will learn how to use various nature journaling techniques to observe and document the diverse flora and fauna that thrive in this environment. Participants will learn to create simple maps, geological block diagrams, and use words, pictures, and numbers to record their observations. The session includes a journaling demonstration, a guided activity, and a group discussion to share insights and findings.
This session is suited for all skill levels, and no prior drawing experience is required. Participants will need a Journal/ Sketchbook, Pen/Pencil or any preferred drawing or writing tools, their choice of coloring medium: Color Pencils / Tombow brush pens / Watercolor
Optional but helpful Supplies: Binoculars
Meets at the entrance on the north end of 16th Street from Santa Ysabel Avenue in the town of Los Osos. Parking at the street end is very limited, however you can park anywhere along 16th Street as long as you do not block driveways or mail boxes.
