Join Jim Bland for a presentation on ducks and geese of the Morro Bay region. The lecture/slideshow will cover all waterfowl species that frequent Morro Bay, Estero Bay, and nearby freshwater wetlands. Topics will include waterfowl habitats of the region, taxonomic relationships of the waterfowl "tribes", and the migration patterns, foraging ecology, and reproductive biology of each species. The class will be led by Jim Bland, a retired avian ecologist, former college lecturer on Ornithology, and experienced wildlife photographer.
