Trip #455
Trip Details
Drawing songs? How is that possible? It's not about copying sonograms or knowing musical notes. Drawing, listening, discerning, and singing back to birds will profoundly increase your memory and recall of bird songs.
Join Melinda as she shares her take on intuitively drawing bird songs. You will practice easy, playful ways to capture the sounds of birds and nature in a journal to develop your auditory ID skills. All levels of drawing or birding skills.
Supplies for nature journaling with Melinda - you can see some recommended here - https://www.melindanakagawa.com/supplies
Bring: 1) Sketchbook/journal; 2) Pen (ball point, fountain, felt- your favorite kind); 3) Color media - your favorite: colored pencils, watercolor travel kit with waterbrush (see supplies link), markers, crayons; 4) Folding stool- optional; 5) Binoculars (optional spotting scope); 6) An open, non-judgmental mind and willingness to try something new!
