213 Birds of the North Coast
Visit spots along the rugged North Coast with Bob & Carmen Keally and Teri May to look for surfbirds, turnstones, Snowy Plovers, scoters, mergansers, loons, grebes, gulls and more. We always hope to see a variety of raptors, including Peregrine Falcons, Golden Eagles, Bald Eagles, Ferruginous Hawks and Burrowing Owls. 60 miles round trip by personal vehicle. Moderate. This trip includes lunch at the Sea Chest Restaurant, 6216 Moonstone Beach Drive, Cambria. The Field Trip ends at Noon; the ending time of 2pm accounts for lunch at the Sea Chest. Meets at the Elephant Seal Rookery north of San Simeon. Hwy 1, 7 miles north of San Simeon.
