231 Bats - California's amazing flying mammals
There are more than 1300 species of bats on this planet. Bats have many similarities to birds and many quintessential differences. Lisa will illuminate the adaptations and behaviors of 19 species of bats found here on the Central Coast. We will explore why these creatures are essential elements in the balance of their ecosystems and what we can do to support them. This presentation is a prerequisite for Lisa's Field Trip 254, Bats - A field study of California's amazing flying mammals. Join Lisa at the Morro Bay Comm. Center, 1001 Kennedy Way, Morro Bay, Lounge.
