245 Finding those Elusive Owls
Join Chris Cameron to learn how to find those elusive owls. Learn field ID, seasonality, vocalizations, range, habitat and owling etiquette. Live and mounted owl specimens will help participants identify and appreciate owls. Review the natural history of local species and learn tips that will give you the best chance of finding owls on your own. This workshop is a prerequisite for the 3 owling field trips (252, 354 and 453); however, participants may take only the workshop. Friday Owling participants will leave for the first owling field trip at 3:30 PM, directly after the workshop. Meets at the Vet's Hall, 209 Surf St, Morro Bay.
