Join Van Pierszalowski to learn about the California Bird Atlas (CBA), a new nonprofit, is leading the first statewide Breeding Bird Atlas, launching January 1, 2026. Over five years, thousands of community scientists and professional field biologists will contribute observations through a new California-specific eBird Atlas Portal created with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. The result will be the most comprehensive record of California's breeding birds ever established, a powerful baseline to guide conservation for decades to come.
