253 Better Birding with Nature Journaling
The birder's Nature journal connects you to birds through active curiosity and creativity. It is a useful tool for people of all birding experience levels to increase your capacity to discern differences for identification, record behaviors, track seasonal changes, improve learning and memory of birds. Quick sketching helps to focus our attention and can serve as a sensory scrapbook for continued learning and enjoyment of birds. We can note bird calls, behaviors, shapes, colors and other notes.
In this 2-part experience, we'll start indoors where I'll introduce you to easy and effective ways to capture more birds in your journal. Then, we'll travel outdoors to put nature journaling skills into practice with birds that we encounter. We'll slow down to nature's pace to really soak in the experience with birds. Prior drawing or birding experience is not necessary, anyone can learn. Come see how you can boost your birding enjoyment.
