315 Master Class - Avian Biology for Bird Photographers Parts 1 & 2
This class will broaden the participants' knowledge of bird biology in ways that will support obtaining and interpreting bird photographs. Information presented will help participants prepare for photography shoots, as well as describe images after they are in hand. How do you target a species of interest? How do you anticipate an action shot? How do you describe a bird's appearance using established ornithological vocabulary? How do you interpret behaviors in scientifically valid terms? At the end of the day, participants will visit the Morro Bay Marina Boardwalk to observe and discuss bird biology in the field. Bring your camera gear on the walk, but bear in mind that camera use and photography technique are not topics covered in the class. The class will be led by Jim Bland, a retired avian ecologist and experienced wildlife photographer. Lunch is NOT included, but restaurants are available at both venues. Meets at Sea Pines Golf Course. 1945 Solano St, Los Osos. Meeting Room.
