357 Sister Species: A Conservation Story
Join Teodelina Martelli for her lecture on how the California Condor was saved from extinction thanks to its sister species, the Andean Condor. Teodelina will describe a history of the California Condor, the race to develop conservation methods against a genetic bottleneck, and the high bar for scientific collaboration set by this conservation success. The Andean Condor is an important part of the California Condor's survival story, and there will be updates on the status of both unique species. Come hear about her time spent in the field with these charismatic vultures!
Meets at St. Timothy's Church, 962 Piney Way, Morro Bay.
