405 Piedras Blanca Light Station - Pelagic Birding for Landlubbers
The Piedras Blancas Light Station, located 6 miles north of San Simeon, offers excellent views of pelagic birds on the offshore rock formations and out to sea. Join Russ Namitz and the Light Station rangers for a tour of the grounds and a birding walk around the property.
This trip meets at the Morro Bay Community to arrange carpools to the Light Station; the group must pass through the entry gate at the same time. Likewise, the group will depart together at around 11am for a return to the Morro Bay Community Center (1001 Kennedy Way, Morro Bay).
