419 Montana de Oro Habitat Walk
Join Faylla Chapman for a habitat walk on the Montana de Oro Bluff Trail. The Trail is entirely coastal sage scrub inland and rocky intertidal offshore. Many birds make use of the scrub and the cliffs along the trail. Learn the plants and their uses to man and birds, and hear the history of the Spooner family while also seeing the unique coastal geology. Meets at the Spooner Ranch House, 3550 Pecho Valley Road, Los Osos. From Los Osos, west on Los Osos Valley Road, becomes Pecho Valley Road. Ranch House if 5.2 miles from Los Osos. A restroom is available by the Spooner Ranch House. Walk is about 2 miles round trip, on mostly flat trails.
