Join author, educator, and artist John Muir Laws (aka Jack) and avid birder and nature journaler Fiona Gillogly for a discussion of the power of mentoring in the birding community. Jack and Fiona have been friends and birding/sketching buddies since 2016, and their friendship has been a powerful learning experience for both of them. In this conversation, Fiona and Jack will discuss some key early experiences that encouraged Fiona, how mentors have had a profound impact on her, how mentors can learn from those they mentor, and how birders can help encourage and support the next generation of birders. Meets at Morro Bay Comm. Center, 1001 Kennedy Way, Morro Bay. Multi-Purpose Room.
